The Four Blokes Trio

Artist Profile

The Four Blokes Trio are Mike Shearing, Norman Myall and Richard Brazear

We drifted together by happy accident and play the songs of life to sparkling tunes – modern American folk, country, rock and anything else that takes our fancy.

Jon Evans and Richard Brazear played as a duo for a couple of years around pubs and folk clubs in the Colchester area before being joined by Mike Shearing and Norman Myall to make a quartet, initially called 'Four Blokes and Three Chords' and subsequently changed to 'The Four Blokes'.

In November 2016, Jon left the band, primarily because he was spending a lot of time out of the UK, in Greece and Australia, and felt he was getting out of the loop. Mike Norman and Richard changed the name of the band to 'The Four Blokes Trio', which they had been using whenever Jon wasn't available to play.

We’ve been playing together for seventeen years at pubs; folk clubs; and events in London, North Essex and Suffolk. We play for fun. We’d like you to see and hear us for the same reason.
