FOSSILIZATION is a death metal duo from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2020 by two members of the band Jupiterian. They return to Europe in 2026 to promote their sophomore album, Advent of Wounds, released in January via Everlasting Spew Records. This new chapter, marks the most intense and brutal evolution in the band’s career to date.
Following the success of their previous releases, He Whose Name Was Long Forgotten and Leprous Daylight; a standout performance at Maryland Deathfest 2024; two successful European tours, alongside Altars (2023) and Father Befouled (2024), including appearances at major festivals such as Kill-Town Death Fest, L’Homme Sauvage, and the fourth edition of Candelabrum Metal Fest in León, Mexico, Fossilization is set to bring perpetual desolation to European stages once more.
The band blends masterfully evil and sombre riffing with chasm-dwelling drumming, along with crushing doom passages to create scalding, sepulchral atmospheres and death metal in the vein of Incantation and Dead Congregation. Their latest release is further proof that the band is going from strength to strength and this is a unique opportunity to witness their live ritual in Norwich.
