Daniel Casimir Big Band

Norwich Arts Centre, 11 Apr 2026

Round Midnight presents

The DANIEL CASIMIR BIG BAND is a large-ensemble project led by award-winning composer and bassist Daniel Casimir, one of the UK’s most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz. Built as a vehicle for his writing, the band fuses deep groove, expansive orchestration and cinematic textures to create music that is both emotionally reflective and socially aware.

Following the acclaim of Boxed In (2021), Casimir’s album Balance has been praised for its “wall of Technicolour sound” and its rare balance of accessibility, ambition and depth. A standout live act on the UK festival circuit, Casimir has performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Ronnie Scott’s, and is the recipient of Jazz FM Instrumentalist of the Year, Parliamentary Jazz Award Album of the Year, and the 2024 Arts Foundation Award for Jazz Composition.
