What A Waste are the UK's most authentic Ian Dury & The Blockheads recreation act in sound and vision brought to you by six totally committed musicians with a love & respect for the music of The Blockheads and the poetry of Ian Dury.
What A Waste’s show is a faithful recreation of Ian Dury & The Blockheads' live performances during their most successful period, 1977-1980. During this time the band had a series of top 20 singles, Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick was a UK number 1 and its follow up Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3 peaked at number 3. The albums Do It Yourself and New Boots and Panties!! Both went platinum.
What A Waste is a completely live experience, full of the humour, poetry, and expert musicianship of one of the UK’s most original, diverse, and unique bands.
