CQ WRESTLING are a British Grunge band led by two best friends and songwriters Charlie Woods and Jake Mac, delivering a fierce and melodic 90’s sound. Their lyrics explore social and political unrest while reaching for euphoric escape, and their chaotic, high-energy live shows have built a devoted following, including three sold-out UK tours and appearances at multiple festivals across Europe.
Their first album ‘Plus Ultra’ was released in 2023 to acclaim with support from BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 Music, and Radio X. The newly name band are entering an independent new era with their upcoming single “Catherine Wheels” – a recent fan-favourite inspired by an ancient queen who defied her king and stood for what she believed, celebrating the strength of a woman close to their hearts.
